Journal of Physical Literacy and Active Living (JPLAL) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by PT Praxis Lab Media, a legally registered publishing company in the Republic of Indonesia, under registration number AHU-A120707.AH.01.30.Tahun 2026.
JPLAL is an interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarship on physical literacy, movement competence, and lifelong engagement in meaningful physical activity. The journal explores how individuals develop, experience, and sustain active lifestyles across the lifespan through interactions among personal capabilities, educational practices, social environments, cultural contexts, and technological innovations.
JPLAL welcomes theoretically informed, empirically rigorous, and practice-oriented research that contributes to understanding how physical literacy supports healthier, more inclusive, and more active societies. The journal provides an international platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, policymakers, and interdisciplinary scholars working across physical education, sport pedagogy, kinesiology, public health, human development, movement science, and related fields.
JPLAL accepts and publishes manuscripts in both Indonesian and English, providing authors with opportunities to disseminate scholarly findings to national and international audiences. Manuscripts submitted in either language must comply with the journal's academic, ethical, methodological, and formatting standards.
JPLAL is published twice a year, in May and November.
